Aloha bloggers, I hope you are all having a fabulous Christmas day with your loved ones. I am having one of the best Christmas' ever, spending it in Houston, Texas with my family who live here. I cannot wait to start reading everyone's post about their presents... I will sure be doing a HUGE America Haul as soon as I am back in the UK - I have definitely shopped until I dropped - so keep checking back ;)

Red Lipstick All On The Paper...

As 2013 draws to a close I wanted to look back on some of the best makeup looks, I am always saving images I find online and in magazines, whether it's for makeup inspiration or fashion inspiration and I thought I would share some of my favourite makeup looks of 2013. As a makeup artist in training I like to play around with makeup looks and by keeping an 'inspiration folder' I never find myself stuck for a new look. One of my new years revolutions this year will be to try a lot more makeup looks, recently I have been getting stuck on the classic winged liner and bold red lips - RiRi Woo MAC is my new favouite EVER red lipstick - I want to get more creative in 2014 and share my new looks on my blog. I hope some of these images may help you if you feel like you are in a makeup hole - aka the same look everyday - Have some fun.. YOLO - Yes I actually did just YOLO - :)

Yonce all on his mouth like liquor...

A week ago, the Queen of music released her fifth studio album, and not in any ordinary way, she surprised her fans with a secret released at midnight. I woke up at 6:30am and I am guilty of having to check my Facebook when I first wake up as though it is the morning paper. The first thing I saw was a post from E! Online reporting the surprise, I have never ever - never ever - jumped out of my bed so quickly; ran down the stairs with my dressing gown half on, tripped down the last two steps, finally stubbing my toe on the sofa before turning on my laptop and logging straight on to itunes,at this point I didn't know whether to cry or laugh - I am a Beyonce super fan if you have not already guessed - when I saw it was A VISUAL ALBUM! 14 songs and 17 music videos - hold the phone - waiting for the album to download seemed like an eternity - during this time I proceeded to snap chat most of my contact list with my shocked and ecstatic face, and at 6:30 in the morning, this is not the best of sites (apoligies to all friends involved) - Finally I found myself watching every music video and knowing the lyrics by the end of the day - Sad or dedicated.... you decide...
The next day I then proceeded to buy 2 tickets to go and see Beyonce - for the 5th time in my life - in March when she comes to London again :) I LOVE BEYONCE!

 '"Mine" artfully examines the stress of relationships. Drake adds a hook and verse.'

 '"Rocket" is an intimate, sensual slow jam. For mature audiences only.'

 'The intense "Haunted" received a macabre video treatment directed by Jonas Åkerlund.' The colours in the makeup in this video is stunning, complementing the bleach blonde hair. Beautiful

 '"Drunk in Love" finds Beyoncé frolicking in the surf with JAY Z.' - Surfboard

 'Beyoncé closes on a tender note, "Blue." The video shows intimate moments with her daughter, Blue Ivy, and the children of Rio de Janeiro.' This music video is very real, shows a softer side, no effects or dance routine. Lets you focus more on the lyrics and the story.

Beyonce is a Grown Women and she can do whatever she wants! 

2014 is all about the eye art...

Nail art was so last year. Instagram and Twitter is slowly filling up with the latest trend... Eye Art! The work that can be produced around the eye is beautiful, the one artist I have come across a lot recently is Israeil Makup Artsist Tal Pelag, her work has been blogged about, shared all over Facebook and retweeted on Twitter, most recently by singing superstar Katy Perry. This girl has serious talent, the intricate designs are stunning, I love how she incorporates the eyebrow within the eye. 

 I love the way she has emphasized the curve of the eyelid in this design.

 The image above was the first piece I saw from Tal Peag, inspired by Princess and the Pea, what caught my eye the most was how she made her eye seem like the pea at the bottom of all the mattress'.. #inspired

RiRi Hearts MAC Holiday Collection

Hey :) So right now I am sat at my laptop waiting for the Rihanna RiRi Hearts MAC Holiday Collection to launch online! I have never purchased anything from this collection before simply because as a student it is hard to afford thing like this, but when I found out this was the last time this collection was going to be launching, I didn't care about how much it cost, I need that RiRi woo Matte cool red lipstick! Red lipstick is always my favourite any time of the year, I have quite a few red lipsticks - partly the reason I was hesitant to buy this one - but when a lot of my friends purchased this lipstick, I fell in love! The colour is gorgeous and I must own it!  

Watch this space!! A review of this lipstick - if I manage to purchase one - and a review of another MAC lipstick I bought for my sister's birthday is soon to come :)

Yesterday I was doing my daily scroll through Facebook and came across an article about 

Kristen McMenamy by Tim Walker for W Magazine December 2013 shoot. These photo's are just absolutely stunning, so different, I am in love with the concept of shooting inside the water tank, simply gorgeous.  The shoot appropriately called 'Far, Far From Land'  was styled by Jacob K, Kristen wears designs from Carolina Herrera, Blumarine, Alexander McQueen, and Dior- slowly crawls up with jealousy-. The hair is styled by Julien d'Y's and the flawless makeup by Stephane Marais.
